Check for irregularities. If you're at the windshield repair or rear of the car, look along the car to see if there are small dents. These can be seen as distortions in the reflection. If the paint is not smooth in one place, then this could be a place where there has been some damage. Dents as large as a coin can be restored by a panel beater. Dents that are not thoroughly repaired are often filled with polyester resin or fibreglass paste. Tap the surface, or go along it with a magnet. Know whether the panel is made of steel, not plastic, fibreglass or aluminum. If there are places where the magnet will not adhere, then in all likelihood, the panel has been repaired. Ask the owner why the part has been repainted?
If the crack looks exactly the same when completed, it's very likely the technician didn't inject the resin properly. A properly completed repair with cause each area of the damage to disappear from at least from one angle of vision (ex: looking from one side, looking from below, looking from above, etc.).
As a windshield installer for the past thirty five years, let me give you three good reasons not to repair your windshield. As windshield repair is a gimmick in my opinion.
Repeat the process for the opposite side. Set the sash aside making sure you know which is the top and the bottom sash. Place a wood block into the track opening and cut the card knot. The block will help catch the sash weight and fix auto glass repair allow you to pull it out of the pocket. Remove the pulleys. The pulleys and the weights will no longer be used.

If it has been damaged it is also weakening and making it harder to do its job of protecting what is inside. So, get your bumper repaired at a local qualified auto body shop. It doesn't take as long as you think and what is more important than safety on the road.
Remember that in windshield repair, it is important to act as soon as possible. When a single chip is left alone, it could spread to a crack or worse, you could end up having to replace the entire windshield. Also, whether you are doing it yourself or having it repaired in a shop, always inspect it so you can be sure that the damage is taken care of.
